CAD Technician

We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer-aided design. In this role, you will be responsible for creating detailed 2D technical drawings and plans for various project requirements using AutoCAD.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed design drawings and specifications using CAD software, with a preference for those proficient in AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with engineers to understand project requirements and convert conceptual designs into detailed technical drawings.
• Utilise AutoCAD to create 2D drawings for project plans.
• Ensure all CAD designs comply with company standards and relevant industry regulations.
• Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of drafting standards, engineering practices, and new developments in AutoCAD and other CAD software.
• Assist in the preparation of documentation, reports, and plans as required for project submission and approval.
• Generate high-quality technical reports, both intercompany and customer-facing. Develop and maintain working relationships across the company to allow effective teamwork.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple projects.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a CAD Technician with demonstrable experience and proficient knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and design practices.
• Familiarity with other CAD software and technology is a plus.
• CCTV/Security systems (beneficial but not essential)
• Experience in utilising SolidWorks 3D (beneficial but not essential)
