C++ & C Software Developer/Embedded Software Developer

The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, development, maintenance and future generations of our award-winning security and surveillance centric software platforms and products.

The role will involve development across our video-centric product range; with integrations within and to our core product, Synergy, as well as our specialist products for video in the mobile/transport and latest 4k COEX camera range.

We’re looking for someone who can apply their skills and experience in development which spans C++ in Windows environments and C/C++ in embedded (Linux) environments.

• Work in an agile team to translate functional requirements into technical solutions
• Write software of a high standard to deploy into on-premise and cloud-based networks, meeting our project and product requirements.
• Develop software in line with software development standards and procedures.
• Communicating new products and continuous improvement ideas/opportunities to the team.
• Work with stakeholders to ensure understanding of specifications.
• Participate in unit, system and acceptance testing by writing tests and supporting the test team.
• Support other departments (Hardware, Marketing, Sales, Support) when required.

C++ Programming Skills Set:

• Significant Programming Experience with modern C++

Languages:

• Essential: C++ in Windows environments.
• Essential: Experience in systems programming using C++.
• Essential: C knowledge and experience with real-time constraints

Required

• General experience with Linux and knowledge of various system layers: i.e. boot, kernel, etc
• Understanding of embedded hardware

Desired

• Experience with video systems and software
• Experience with cloud IoT platforms and web technologies
• Linux driver development
• Experience with docker deployment
• Custom distribution creation (I.e. OpenWRT, buildroot)
• RTSP or WebRTC

Qualifications & Experience:
