Senior C# Software Developer & Team Lead

Synectics is evolving and expanding its software product portfolio from on-premise to Hybrid and Cloud solutions. As part of this transition, we need to grow our development team to bring in additional skills and capacity to deliver our roadmap and serve our customers’ evolving needs.

As the Team Lead, you will lead and mentor a team of four software developers while also delivering high-quality software solutions using the C# programming language. You will play a key role in the design, development, and maintenance of, as well as developing valuable third-party integrations to our award-winning security and surveillance-centric software platforms.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Lead, manage, and mentor a team of software developers, providing guidance, support, and feedback as needed.
  • Your team will consist of C# developers and a little C++.
• Provide technical leadership to the development team, ensuring that all code is maintainable, scalable, and secure.
• Work with stakeholders to ensure understanding of specifications.
• Work in an agile team to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
• Write software of a high standard to deploy into cloud-based and closed networks, meeting our project and product requirements.
• Develop software in line with software development standards and procedures.
• Communicating new product and continuous improvement ideas/opportunities to the team.
• Participate in unit, system and acceptance testing by writing automated tests and supporting the test team.
• Support other departments (Hardware, Marketing, Sales, Support) when required.

C# Programming Skills Set

• Significant Programming Experience with C#
• Strong ASP.Net Core skills, specifically working with Web API
• Familiarity of RESTful fundamentals and principles
• Experienced with Entity Framework (EF) Core
• Familiarity of Angular practices and commonly used modules based on work experience

Cloud Development Skills Set

• Familiar with DDD (Domain Driven Design) principles and practices
• Microservices
• Docker
• Kubernetes
• Experience with cloud platforms and services
• Azure Familiarity with Azure DevOps build and deployment pipelines is a bonus

Qualifications & Experience:

• Technical degree (or equivalent industry experience) – graduate or graduate calibre
• Five or more years of experience developing applications/solutions.
• At least two years in leading or mentoring a team of software developers, including experience with agile methodologies.
• Desirable: A track record of community participation in your field of expertise (meet-ups, talks, podcasts, etc.).
