Software Engineer (.NET)

We are looking for a Software Engineer willing and able to dive deep into traditional, distributed multi-user/multi-service systems and migrate these towards sophisticated, flexible, configurable, and complex web applications that will serve as a basis for continuous expansion of our overall product portfolio.

You will become part of a team of technical experts, working closely with the Product Managers, Systems Engineers, and Solution Managers to ensure we continually evolve our products to meet the needs of our customers and our local delivery team.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Software development for our clients’ on-premise systems
• Collaboration in the migration to cloud-based solutions
• Documentation and support of the Technical Author
• Writing test cases and assisting with manual tests
• Communicating directly with customers verbally and in written form

Qualifications and technical experience:

• 3+ years of relevant experience developing commercial and complex applications on .NET/.NET Core/ASP.NET Core base, preferably in the public transport sector
• Good communication skills; written, verbal and listening in German and English
• Excellent skills in .NET Framework development with traditional distributed on-premise systems (WCF, SQL Server, Windows Domains)
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft development tooling (Visual Studio/VS Code) and Microsoft online development platforms (Azure, Azure DevOps, etc.)
• Strong background in full-stack cloud development using web frameworks such as Angular, VUE, etc.
• Experience developing complex cloud-based applications in Azure
• Demonstrated experience deploying applications in Azure using Azure Functions, Azure API Management, Azure Web Apps, and related tools
• Knowledge and experience working commercially with .NET and Azure
• Mastery of CI/CD processes and best practices
• Experience with microservices architectural approach is a big plus
• Knowledge of developing audio/video streaming solutions is desirable
