Smarter mapping capabilities
Map-centric display and navigation have always been a key advantage of our Synergy 3 command and control platform – ensuring alarms, information, and footage can be quickly pinpointed, viewed, and understood with locational context. The addition of easy-upload CAD mapping in our 2019 release takes this a step further.
Seamless CAD mapping tailored to customer needs
Customers can now import and effortlessly navigate CAD maps. With this new functionality, operators can:
- Automatically plot cameras
- Use intuitive device selection tools
- Customize alerts and alarms
- Easily implement layout changes by uploading new CAD files and avoiding the need for laborious re-plotting of camera and alarm icons
Complementing, and interoperable with, existing GIS mapping capabilities, this new level of flexibility ensures customers can take advantage of a surveillance solution truly tailored to their needs.
Impressive camera features
In Synergy 3 2019, improved fisheye camera de-warping capabilities allow operators to seamlessly navigate 360-degree footage and transform this into multiple fixed views for easy monitoring, review, and export. This is designed to work with any fisheye camera, whether from Synectics or a third-party manufacturer.
Easier fisheye integration
This latest Synergy release also supports H.265 compression for IP cameras compliant with ONVIF Profile S, ensuring customers have greater freedom to select cameras perfectly matched to their requirements.
Increased intelligent automation
Customers will discover numerous tools to further support situational awareness and incident management, even under pressure.
For tracking and investigating events as they unfold, alerts can be more easily set up to trigger ‘quad view’ layouts, enabling the simultaneous review of both live and recorded footage.
Immediate forensic investigation of live and recorded footage
In addition, through a new clip mode, any footage viewed in any video layout is automatically imported to the clip basket. This enables quick and easy transfer to the Incident Locker, eliminating the need to add this video to an incident retroactively.
Of course, not all logged footage ends up being vital. This is why, after 31 days, Synergy can now also issue review reminders that give operators the option to delete as required.
More integration options
Synergy 3 2019 doesn’t just offer more built-in benefits - it offers true tailorability and reflects our vast, and ever-increasing, ecosystem of third-party integrations.
Notable solutions now compatible with Synergy 3 include:
- Schneider Electric’s IoT platform, EcoStruxure
- Suprema’s BioStar access control system
- Oracle’s Simphony point-of-sale solution
- NDI's Talon ANPR
To deliver even greater choice and flexibility for our customers, we’ve developed an SDK tool to help third-party technology companies and developers write their own integrations to our command and control platform.
Support tools that save time and make sense
A new approach to help
Our new in-software help function unlocks the right support, at the right time, to help users get the most out of their solution. Using the dedicated icon within Synergy 3, operators can access the core help menu or a new contextual mode. Once selected, this mode allows users to click on any area within Synergy 3 in order to receive clear, precise guidance relevant to that specific aspect.
