Technical Trainer

Principal Accountabilities

Content Development

• Design, develop and maintain high-quality, engaging training content that effectively communicates technical concepts, product features and internal business processes to diverse audiences.
• Produce interactive eLearning modules using tools such as Articulate 360, Storyline and other instructional design software, ensuring alignment with adult learning principles and best practices.
• Develop course materials including presentations, exercises, facilitator guides, assessments and quick reference guides tailored to various delivery formats (e.g., instructor-led, virtual and self-paced).
• Continuously review and update training assets to reflect product enhancements, customer feedback and evolving business needs.

Training Delivery

• Facilitate technical training sessions for both internal stakeholders (e.g., support, sales, engineering teams) and external customers, ensuring content is delivered clearly, confidently and with enthusiasm.
• Deliver training in a variety of formats, including in-person classroom sessions, virtual instructor-led training (VILT), webinars and on-demand tutorials.
• Adapt instructional approach and delivery style to suit the technical proficiency, learning objectives and cultural backgrounds of different learner groups.
• Provide hands-on demonstrations, real-life scenarios and guided practice to enhance knowledge retention and practical application.

Support Training Operations

• Work closely with Product Management, Engineering, Customer Support and other departments to ensure training content remains up-to-date, technically accurate and aligned with current product roadmaps and release cycles.
• Support the administration of the Learning Management System (LMS), including uploading content, managing user access, tracking attendance and completions and generating training reports.
• Evaluate training effectiveness through participant feedback, assessments and performance metrics; use insights to drive continuous improvement in training content, delivery methods and learner engagement.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of training standards, templates and best practices, promoting consistency and quality across all learning experiences.

Key Personal Attributes

• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
• Experienced in using Articulate 360, including Storyline, for eLearning development.
• Working knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and online training best practices.
• Strong technical acumen with a solid grasp of IT fundamentals, including basic networking and Microsoft Windows environments.
• Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills.
• Confident public speaker with engaging delivery style.
• Strong understanding of CCTV, surveillance and related technologies.
• Comfortable working in 24-hour operational environments due to customer base.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Experience

• Prior experience in technical training or educational roles.
• Background in the security or CCTV industry.
• Experience working in customer-facing environments with diverse technical skill levels.

Eligibility for Employment in Singapore
In accordance with applicable Singapore laws and regulations, all successful applicants must be legally authorised to work in Singapore. Where required, employment eligibility will be subject to the approval and issuance of a valid work pass by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), such as an Employment Pass, S Pass or Work Permit. Applicants must provide all necessary documentation prior to the commencement of employment, and employment may not begin until the relevant authorisation requirements have been satisfactorily completed by Synectics.
