A UK private members casino with an international client base has partnered with Synectics. The state-of-the-art surveillance solution unifies gaming table integrations, real-time data analytics, and cloud technology to improve decision-making, incident management, and secure evidence sharing regarding fraud.
It uses Synergy security and surveillance software to implement data-driven tools to help identify suspicious behaviour and play patterns that would otherwise be difficult to detect.
Integration for insight-driven alerts
The Synergy solution enables the control room team to monitor and manage video and audio feeds from property-wide IP cameras and integrate directly with safety and security systems, access control, and gaming table solutions, including Baccarat shoes and roulette wheels.
Using Synergy’s powerful rules engine and analytics capabilities, Synectics has created a series of ‘dataveillance’ protocols based on common risk scenarios discussed with the in-house surveillance team.
These trigger alerts and on-screen guidance (workflows) for operators based on live data from the gaming floor, such as anomalous betting patterns or roulette wheel-spin rates falling outside expected norms.

Flexible access for faster investigations
The system ensures that authorised personnel can access vital information, insights, and system functionality via fixed workstations or mobile devices, allowing for greater flexibility.
Users can create and access dynamic dashboards, a valuable feature. These can be used for live data reporting, supporting real-time incident investigation, and analysing patterns over time – for example, to identify whether specific play patterns correlate with staff rosters.
Cloud evidence sharing
The casino also uses Synectics’ cloud-based evidence locker. Natively supported in Synergy, the locker enables seamless upload and secure sharing of incident footage.
Bookmarks, descriptions, and observations can augment uploaded video while other file formats (such as PDF, audio, and still images) provide additional context to each incident.
This functionality helps the casino provide updates to its international parent company and securely share important information with third parties such as insurers and local law enforcement.
